OrthoCare / mGain Physical Therapy App
UX/UI Design • Product Strategy • Mobile App Prototype
In collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, I helped design a mobile app experience that reimagined physical therapy as a more engaging, motivating, and user-friendly process for adults recovering from injury or surgery. The goal was to improve adherence to PT routines by reducing repetition fatigue and introducing progress tracking, gamified exercise flows, and clear instructional support.
Through user research and persona development, we identified that adults aged 40–70 often struggle with consistency due to slow visible progress, lack of immediate feedback, and unclear exercise guidance. Based on these insights, I helped design a solution centered around daily engagement loops, progress milestones, tutorial flows, and an interactive music-based therapy game experience.
The final prototype included:
a dashboard-based home experience
progress tracking and streaks
video tutorials for device setup and gameplay
a music-driven rehabilitation game (“Jam Sesh”)
customizable DJ mode interactions
post-session save, share, and progress review flows
This project strengthened my ability to translate user pain points into intuitive mobile experiences that support both emotional motivation and measurable recovery goals.
